Jeff Barley (Construction Director)

Having trained in Civil and Structural Engineering Jeff started Barley Construction some 25 years ago so with 30 years    experience he has the ability to carry out fast track top end refurbishment projects which has taken the company from strength to strength.

After completing several prestigious projects Jeff was approached by the CEO of Brands Hatch Leisure who invited him to join them as Group Construction Manager, directly responsible for all capital improvements across the various race tracks owned by Brands Hatch. After two years Jeff was invited to join the Main Board as Construction Director.

Jeff believes that his unique experience of acting as a Consultant; Contractor and Client has allowed him the benefit of being able to “see the issues” from all sides and deal with these accordingly which is a particular comfort to the Client’s.

Andy McNaughton (Commercial Director)

With over 25 years experience in the industry and having trained as a contracts quantity surveyor with experience of all types of construction and contracts.

Having worked at J.A Elliott Ltd, Overbury and Connaught PLC (Interiors) as director and run his own business for some 15 years now Andy understands the need for client satisfaction and the consistent delivery of all projects as this is key to a “happy client”.

Whilst Jeff enjoys being a “petrol head” Andy prefers a more relaxing game of golf, football and still manages to play 5 aside every week.

Peter Manning (Contracts Manager)

With over 30 years experience in the construction industry & 12 years with the Brennan Group becoming a Director in 2007.

Peter’s energy and industry knowledge provide the production team with a point of reference at all times. His approachable management style is based upon building a cohesive team that earns him the respect of his department. He has specific experience of delivering complex, fast track commercial, retail and leisure projects within the budget whilst displaying a keen eye for detail.

Each contract is important to us and Peter’s man management skills coupled with his build knowledge are a strong combination for any project

Peter is a keen football and sports fan – by the way we won’t mention the team!!!

Bob Brind (Senior Estimator)

36 years as a construction estimator casting stones, sticks and bones onto the table and forecasting the rates required to give a competitive bid.

Project Experience include new build and re-furbished from £500 – £25 million with many and varied projects from industrial, commercial, housing both private and social, leisure hotels, clubs and even mobile homes (big ones!) and floating car parks and not afraid to say “dirty” the hands with civils work.

90% of the projects are priced using own outputs with back to basic principles and not the sub-contract price collection route.

Tony Simmons (Business Development)

Tony has been engaged in the prime property market throughout his careers in both Central Londonand overseas. Some of the developments and projects he has led are well known and in re-nowned destinations. Others are private homes which are the pride of their esteemed owners who command both the utmost respect and total confidentiality.

Tony’s property and development expertise is very extensive, covering Canada, USA, NZ and UK- Europe. He has developed many large condominium schemes as well as numerous luxury private homes. His wide ranging skills combine technical, managerial, entrepreneurial and commercial aspects.
